R507c is a hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant gas blend commonly used in commercial refrigeration systems. It is composed of two different refrigerants, R125 and R143a. R507c was introduced as a replacement for older refrigerants, such as R22 and R502, which were found to contribute to ozone depletion. R507c has a lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) than some other refrigerants, which makes it an environmentally friendly alternative. It is a colorless, odorless gas that is non-toxic and non-flammable. R507c is widely used in commercial refrigeration applications, such as walk-in coolers and freezers, due to its efficient performance and safety.
